Photography
My documentary photography celebrates the vibrant life of Philadelphia neighborhoods. Much of my work follows refugee and immigrant communities in Philadelphia. Beginning in 2012 I began working with refugee families from Burma and Bhutan. I began community space: Southeast By Southeast through the Mural Arts Program. I have taught ESL, citizenship, photo and art classes with Burmese and Bhutanese community members and photographed individuals and families.
My work also is rooted in street photography capturing daily life and moments of celebration in the city.
